Commitment of RICKMEIER apprentices was honored

The Corona Pandemic is a challenging time that demands a lot of scope for creative thinking and action. The challenges in the in-house training workshop at RICKMEIER started early and thus confronted both trainers and trainees with new mental tasks. Ventilation and hygiene measures - no problem at all; but keeping distances is. The tube-like rooms are too thin to maintain the required 1.5 m distance at all points when all trainees are present. "Home training" becomes problematic when the theory learned is to be put into practice and the trainees need a CNC machine in their living room. So this attempt was ended after the first block of theory lessons and the permanent hope for improvement. Other plans had to be made: turning meeting rooms into training rooms so that the trainees could learn in the same groups at the scheduled intervals on PCs and carry out practical exercises in the training workshop in these same groups was just one of the various measures.

A win-win situation for the Corona pandemic was the placement of the disinfectant racks in various parts of the company. The disinfectant bottles were placed in a holder made of ITEM profiles, which were drawn and then assembled by the trainees. Learning different assembly techniques in the area of item profiles is a great advantage, especially for the prospective industrial mechanics, as this is part of the final exams.

The AUSGEZEICHNET! project of the Märkischer Arbeitgeberverband (employers' association) rewards companies for their commitment to in-company training during the Corona crisis. During a small presentation, Özgür Gökce (Managing Director MAV), MAV Education Officer Annette Tilsner and Dr. Andreas Weber (Head of Public Relations & Education at MAV) handed over a breakfast basket and a certificate to Christiane Schulz (Managing Director RICKMEIER), trainer Patrick Krämer and the trainees Leon Severin, Jonas Schrimpf and Nick Müller on behalf of all RICKMEIER trainees and trainers.
